US cover art for the paperback edition of Saladin Ahmed's THRONE OF THE CRESCENT MOON

Much better than the 80s YA sword and sorcery cover that graced the hardcover edition of Saladin Ahmed's Throne of the Crescent Moon (Canada, USA, Europe).

Well, the problem with this cover is that it doesn't tell me a story. It's just a cityscape.

Even if the original might have been "80's ish", it had character and told a story about the characters and what they were.

This cover tells me much less.

I know I'm in the minority, but I'm glad I got Jason Chan's original cover, because the new one is bland.

Finally! I refuse to buy hardbacks (they're so ungainly) so I've been waiting for the paperback edition of this one.

I like it, it's simple with great colours.

I actually hated the hardback cover because it looked like a bad novelization of a cartoon. But after seeing the paperback cover I'd take the hardcover any day because at the very least it captures your attention. This one is as bland as Kristen Stewart's expression(s).

Could have tried a little harder to make it look like a crescent moon...

I kind of liked the original art. Sure, it could have been better. But this one just looks incomplete.

Does not matter what the cover looks like as the book is poor.

Why do you say that, "Mick UK"?
