Really not sure about this one.
Visually, it looks stunning. But nothing in the trailer makes me want to see this movie. . . :/

That just left me thoroughly confused and you're right ... no desire to see it at all.
Not really sure what it's about, even after 5 minutes of watching that. Still, you're right that it looks impressive. I'll have to see more before I'm convinced.
The book was ambitious as hell, but it fell flat due to poor execution. It didn't help that 2 of the 6 stories were printed in a terrible font that was difficult to read, and phonic spellings on spoken language in the last story was irritating since they spoke some futuristic hillbilly dialect.
I'm hoping this might be a movie that is one of the rare occurrences of a film bettering the novel. Still with the exception of two of the middle stories, this is a pretty moribund tale and I think it'll make for a pretty boring film.
Personally I thought the novel was amazing, but i can see how the trailer could be confusing and not interesting for someone who had no idea what the novel structure was. Trust me if its anything like the book it was be well well worth seeing.
Seems mostly like a regular Tom Hanks picture. That's actually quite far from what you would expect from the original.
